Steve Colella is a Senior Director at BNY Mellon Wealth Management where he helps individuals and families achieve their financial goals with focused investment and wealth management strategies. He and his team excel at managing wealth through times of transition, such as the consideration of funding or selling a business/large investment, executive career moves, marriages or divorces, gifts/inheritances or multi-generational wealth transfers.

Over the past 27 years, Steve has built a career in advising affluent individuals and families, business owners, executives, entrepreneurs, philanthropists, and non-profits on wealth strategies, as well as financial, tax, estate, trust, and gift matters. Prior to joining BNY Mellon, Steve served as a Partner in the Private Client Group at DiCicco Gulman & Company LLP and also spent time at E&Y and PWC. He is active in national and local Bar and CPA organizations, as well as with the Boston Estate Planning Council (BEPC).
Steve earned his Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst’s Isenberg School of Management. He also earned his Master of Science in Taxation from Bentley University’s McCallum Graduate School of Business and his Juris Doctorate degree from Suffolk University Law School. He is a Certified Public Accountant with the Personal Financial Specialist designation (CPA/PFS®), Attorney, and an Accredited Estate Planner (AEP).
Steve resides in Newton, MA with his wife Lore and their two sons.
